Delegates from across the county gathered in Washington, D.C., March 14-18 at the 2009 National League of Cities Congressional City Conference to forge partnerships with the new Administration and Congress on behalf of the citizens they collectively represent. The conference provided local elected officials and municipal staff myriad opportunities to learn about federal issues important to America's cities and towns, to lobby Congress on those priorities, and to be part of a clear and unified voice. The program included general sessions featuring national leaders, members of the new Administration and Congress. Delegates also built time into their schedules to visit Capitol Hill and bring local issues into focus for their Senators and Representatives. General conference questions |
